Hi!

Welcome to my blog. I hope it will inspire you to be your authentic self.  Have a nice stay!

What's bringing me joy?

What's bringing me joy?

Derek and I have a litany of saints. We say this litany after our rosaries together. One of the saints is St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower. We love her childlike tendencies; her little ways inspire us. Her love for Jesus gives us zeal to love Him more and more each day. Here is one of my favorite quotes by St. Therese.

“Charity gave me the key to my vocation. I understood that the Church had a Heart and that this Heart was burning with love. I knew that one love drove the members of the Church to action, that if this love were extinguished, the apostles would have proclaimed the Gospel no longer, the martyrs would have shed their blood no more. I understood that Love comprised all vocations, that Love was everything, that it embraced all times and places...in a word, that it was eternal! Then in the excess of my delirious joy, I cried out: O Jesus, my Love...my vocation, at last I have found it...My vocation is Love!”
— St. Therese of Lisieux

Even though Derek and I have found our secondary vocation (God willing- only 2 more months until we’re married!), our first vocation, like St. Therese says, is Love. Whether we’ve found our lower case v- vocation or not, let us surrender everything to the foot of the Cross. Let this love of the Cross overflow hearts with the joy. Let this joy radiate in every areas of our lives. This love is what is bringing me joy this week along with celebrating St. Therese’s feast day with Derek, macaroons and stripes. What’s bringing you joy?
