About

Hello, my name is Kelly.

I'm so excited you're here! I thought you might like to know a little something about me and I hope that one day, I’ll get to know more than a little something about you!  I was born and raised in Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State University (go pokes!) with an engineering degree, which means math and science are my kind of subjects and not this writing thing, so bear with me.  After college, God totally pushed me out of my comfort zone when He told me to decline my dream job and take a job in Kansas City instead. So here I am, living the KC life, trying to do God’s Will.

I do the whole 8-hour work day thing, but other times you can find me listening to podcasts or reading a book. My favorite place to read is hands down on the porch.  I try to be my authentic self because being my authentic self means I’m being who God created me to be.  Also, sorry if you catch me on a day when my authentic self is not very nice- that’s just the human part of me.

I started this blog because, well, here’s the post, but in short, I have a passion for Jesus, and since we’re made in His image, by expressing our authentic self, we will be like Jesus. So that must mean that I have a passion for you and your individuality.  Like St. Catherine Siena once said, “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the word on fire.” Well ladies, I hope we can be real with each other and inspire each other to do just that.  Hope you’ll stay awhile!
